Shopping in Gangnam District
One of the best things is to go shopping in Gangnam, it’s one of the best areas in Seoul. You may have heard of this name. It is a feature of the famous PSY song Gangnam Style (the most popular in 2012).

Jiangnan is a place worth visiting. The first place to go is Sinsa Boulevard. You can find a variety of unique street-style shops., Chic boutiques, and even cosmetics shops (though if you only want to buy cosmetics, it’s best to go to Myeongdong). There are also cool places, such as The Alley. Which is a tea shop that offers brown sugar tapioca tea, similar to bubble tea, but a bit special.

How to get there:

  • Xinsha Station (Metro Line 3).
  • Walkabout 3-4 minutes.

Visit Mullae Art Village in Yeongdeungpo
Mullae Art Village is in Yeongdeungpo, which used to be a place full of workshops and foundries. In recent years, the government has invested funds in the area. Invited original artists to create artworks, murals, and sculptures to revive the area. Today, they compose Mullae of trendy cafes, restaurants, boutiques, and metal factories. The town is also one background of the “Avengers 2” movie, which helps promote and develop tourism.

Their best restaurant is Yankees Burgers in Mullae. The best burger on the short menu is Mullae Burger 2, which is priced at $7. The other dishes on the menu are pizza, pasta, and chicken wings. The interior has a very industrial feel because it covers all the walls with graffiti and old posters. When the restaurant became known, it opened a second branch in downtown Seoul. But this restaurant is not as good as the original burger joint.

How to get there:

  • Mullae Station (Metro Line 2), get off at Exit 1 or 7.
  • Walk for five minutes.

Eat fresh seafood at Noryangjin Fisheries Market
If you want to buy fresh seafood at a cheaper price, you must visit this market. When we visited Seoul in 2013, Noryangjin Fish Market was dark and wet. After the renovation, we were thrilled to see the high ceilings and the brightness and warmth of this place.

When you walk in, you notice too many choices of fish tanks and seafood. The live lobsters, crabs, shrimps, octopuses, clams, snow crabs, sea urchins, etc. Some stalls also offer sashimi.

The wonderful thing about this place is that you can browse through the different levels. Determine what interests you choose and buy seafood. Then cook it in one restaurant. You will need to pay the reservation fee at the restaurant.

Korea is famous for octopus, so you must try it. The restaurant cuts the octopus into small pieces and adds sesame oil. Yes, the octopus will move in the bowl. Slap a piece with chopsticks and chew, otherwise, the tentacles may stick to your mouth.

How to get there:

  • Metro Line 1 Noryangjin Station (Noryangjin Station) and Exit 1
  • Walk across the bridge for a few minutes to reach the market.

After the fun activities in Seoul, it’s time to go home. We hope you enjoy this travel plan and have wonderful memories of South Korea during your 5 days stay here.
